VOLUNTEERS STORIES...
An eye-opening once in a life time experience. In 2013, I embarked on a life changing journey to Nakuru, Kenya. During my time here I visited Love for All. An incredibly loving school and orphanage for young children. Watching how much impact you have on a group of infants lives is incredible and a totally rewarding feeling. This trip definitely taught me how much we take for granted and how much we can do to help others. To all at Love For All - I Love You!

I started volunteering in Kenya over 5 years ago and have been hooked ever since!

I first met Pamela about 3 years ago after being told about Love For All by a local friend. After communicating with her for some time I realised just how different she was from a lot of other directors of similar projects. Everything she does is for the betterment of the children and their families and she has sacrificed everything to give them a better future.
Every time I return to Kenya I make sure to visit LFA and catch up on any progress. They welcome everyone from all faiths and backgrounds and it's clear that everyone there has a real passion for change and doing the right thing for those most in need.
For anyone wanting to make a difference be it big or small I will always steer them in the direction of Love For All as I have complete trust in them and their values. If all projects were like this the world would be a better place.

Volunteering in Kenya has been the most eye opening and best experience of my life so far! At Love for All, the children and adults supporting them all have a huge place in my heart and i would consider them my family. Pamela is the most inspirational lady I have ever met and she puts her all into helping, mothering and caring for the children. If it wasn't for Pamela, they would be on the streets in constant search of food and a place to sleep.

I have become exceptionally attached to many of the children at Love for All and it is the hardest thing to leave them when i return to the UK. I spend most of my time at the project playing and teaching the children new games, but I have also taught them in lessons and helped to build and paint the site. You don’t have to go out there and expect to help do everything because they’ll just appreciate playing games or having a cuddle.

I would honestly recommend for anyone to visit Love for All as you won’t regret it and will NEVER forget the welcome given to you.

From the moment, I stepped through the gate at Love for All, I was overwhelmed by the warmth from both the children and Pamela as they welcomed us with dancing, singing and games. These incredible children have so much energy, courage and smile constantly and i came to recognise that they thrive on sharing stories, learning from and building relationships with volunteers, as well as attempting to develop their English.I found it admirable the passion they have for learning!
I enjoyed every moment of working alongside Pamela, Pauline, Phanuel and Allys who put their upmost into this project. They have the most beautiful hearts and are SO accommodating and supportive of the volunteers needs and desires! For instance, we were able to do home visits to some of the most vulnerable families in Nakuru and provide them with food and other items!”
Providing the orphans with necessities that we take for granted in the UK; socks, brand new school shoes, slippers, soap, washing buckets, clothes, a CD player, new mattresses, bed sheets, electricity in their dormitories & much more was incredibly heart-warming! Seeing their faces light up when they received these was something else! They are so polite and grateful for our help making this one of the most enjoyable moments of my life to date! All of our hard work and fundraising efforts were beyond worth it!
My favourite day was when we took the orphans to Lord Egerton’s castle, Nakuru. We hired two matatu’s (minibuses) and took all the children on an adventure. It was amazing being able to take them out of the premises and enjoy spending a fun-filled day out with them. We played for hours with bubbles, skipping ropes, sports equipment & more, before having a tour of the castle grounds and providing them with the most delicious food (chicken as a treat!). I will never forget what one of the older boys said to me… ‘‘Hannah – this has been the best day trip I’ve ever been on’. Everybody was extremely happy from start to finish!
It was also a pleasure to see the children enjoy playing with the parachute that I brought over from the UK. After school on several occasions we spent the afternoon/evenings playing games and laughing outdoors with one another. The children who reside at Love for All really look out for one another which is amazing. They are one big family!

I would highly encourage and recommend ANYBODY to visit and take the time to get to know the tremendous children at Love for All. Kenya and this foundation now hold a very important place in my heart.
I CAN'T WAIT TO RETURN NEXT YEAR!
